CMS Framework

This thesis is concerned with design and description of framework for internet content management systems. Framework is implemented using PHP5 programming language and MySQL 4.1 database engine. It is aimed to simplify creation of various internet presentations using simple principles that are repeated in similar projects. We closely look on concept of framework using UML and we analyse choice of used technologies. There are principles of function of whole system, its' structure and used technologies described further in text. This work also contains sample implementation of framework module for practical use.

The content of this thesis is analysis and design Planning software using agile software development methodology for small and middle size projects. I focused primary on specific work products of roles Analytic and Project manager laid down by selected methodology. Created solution can be used as project documentation for the subsequent development of application itself. The result of this thesis allow the reuse of this principles and practices to future projects of similar scope.

The thesis is focused on software development process and its products from initial designs through the way of implementation until final delivery to customer. The thesis brings up some basic facts about software engineering with further detailed description of one of its parts, the modern models of software life cycles with focus on the agile life cycle because of its significant benefits and effective implementation. This model is represented by Agile Model Driven Development which has been submitted not only theoretically but in practice. Finally, there is also a short description of Unified Modeling Language which is used as a modeling language.

Information System for the Support of the Trainig Activities

This Diploma thesis describes the process of analysis and design of an information system supporting training activities. The system is based on the web pages. It is creating an information system, that would allow monitoring the nutritional plan, strength training and sports activities of an athlete. The system allows each athlete to be assigned a dietitian and a coach, who take care of his/her nutritional plan and training. The athlete has immediate feedback atd of his success and has better conditions to meet his ambitions.

Nowadays we cannot even imagine the companies and the world without these systems. They have garnished massive popularity among companies, users and developers while being created for the internet applications as well as corporate intranet applications. Considering an emergence of object oriented design and design patterns it is important to test these modern tools on development of an information system and to analyze situation on the market with small company information systems. This thesis acts just this problem. I develop company management system, which serves for better management of firms, cost reduction and gain enhancement.

Analysis and Design of e-Learning Information System

This thesis is focused on IBM Rational Unified Process methodology, which represents complex and robust aproach to software development and software lifecycle. This methodology is well described and every step of software lifecycle is predictible. Thats the reason why is becoming used in many software development organizations. The main goal of this thesis is deep description of this methodology and creation common outputs of inception and elaboration phase of e-learning information system. IBM Rational Unified Process is called use-case driven aproach, thats the reason why is emphasized descripton of all use-cases.

It contains detailed assessment of a used project management information system, business process design and information system modification. The thesis also includes complete implementation of a module for cost calculation of software projects. The module is based on Use Case Points method.

An UML Profile for Modelling of Component-Based Systems

The thesis deals with the modeling of the Component Based Software (CBS) systems in the UML language and with extension of the UML language with using of meta-modeling techniques and with using of the UML Prodile technology. Thesis also deals with Component Based Development (CBD). The main part of this study deals with specifying of methodology for creating of UML Prodiles and with demonstration of this methodology on selected Component System meta-model by creating the profile including the OCL constraints and description of problems with creating of the prodile. Thesis also describes support of the UML Profile technology in existing UML CASE tools. For demonstration purposes thesis contains the case study with example which uses in this work created UML Profile. Profile is created in accordance with specification of UML version 2.3 and OCL in version 2.2. Demonstration is performed and profile itself is created using IBM Rational Software Architect version 8.0.2.
